pen_drive1If you are like me you once upon a time had a USB Drive that could be put on your keychain, and for a while it worked well. But if your like me the casing on the drive broke because it was made out of cheap plastic, even the loop that goes around the keychain was molded plastic and it snaps easy. And now your drive in a best case scenario looks like the one in the picture here, in a worse case scenario it’s broken and shattered into tiny pieces.

Well, I finally have found a drive that holds up to the normal wear and tear, and as a System Administrator I often bring important files like firmware updates, technical manuals or other important information with me when I travel and I can’t have a drive that may fall apart. Enter my new favorite toy, the LaCie usb key. This thing is built tough! And it comes in a variety of sizes, I use a 16gb model, but there is also a 4gb, 8gb and 32gb models available.

Like I said I use this thing daily and love it. Mainly because it fits on my keychain and is the same size as my other keys, it’s not bulky like the plastic drives you’ve seen out there, in fact you don’t even know it’s there and most people won’t even see it until you plug it in! I highly recommend you getting this particular drive if you are in need of a sturdy usb drive that you want to last for years to come. (Link to the LaCie USB Drive on Amazon)
